A day in the graveyard: These inline skates brought me back to the joy of the ’90s

I have to admit—I’m not the type to pull off a flashy turn or effortlessly glide. In fact, I haven’t worn inline skates in years , the last time being back in 1994, when I was still riding the original roller skates.
This time, I wanted one thing: stability! I didn’t want the feeling of my feet dangling in the shoes as I skated. Luckily, these inline skates truly do feel secure. . On a whim, I decided to go skating in a cemetery today. Don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t going there to “challenge the supernatural,” but I just thought it was flat, uncrowded, and so quiet you could hear the wind. And the result—I had a blast!
The wheels were smooth and stable, and I didn’t feel nervous at all. Instead, I felt like I was moving with the wind.
I’ve actually skated a few times before, but the unfamiliar feel always made me nervous. But this time, on inline skates , I completely relaxed, and skating became effortless and comfortable. I never expected a cemetery to become my “skating paradise.”

It’s been over a week
since I got these inline skates . I go to the park almost every day. Honestly, I’m starting to get addicted. The wheels are in great shape, rolling smoothly without any squeaking. The brakes, though used a bit frequently, are still powerful. Every deceleration is smooth, without that embarrassing “nearly falling on my butt” feeling.
Plus, the Velcro, laces, and snaps are all very sturdy, making them easy to put on and take off. You can tell these shoes are really well made.

Of course, I fell once, haha. It was completely my own fault; I took a sharp turn. The moment I fell, I flattened myself on the ground. The kid next to me asked, “Uncle, are you okay?” At that moment, I really wanted to crawl into the ground, but then I smiled again. Because I realized—falling isn’t that scary.
Every fall helps me see exactly where I didn’t do it right. Isn’t that what inline skates are all about? Fall a few times, learn a few more times, and then you’ll get better and better.

I don’t know how these inline skates compare to top-tier pro skates, but for me, they’ve perfectly accomplished their mission—reinvigorating my love for skating.
They’re stable, comfortable, reliably made, and they skate incredibly smoothly. More importantly, they’ve rekindled that sense of freedom I felt in the ’90s—that feeling of the wind blowing past my ears and the world slowing down.
